Service update

It’s no secret that my software have been neglected for quite a while – and thus I feel the need to make a few announcements:

There will be no further updates to the current codebase of FuturixImager.
I’m going to take a few parts of FuturixImager 6 and release them as standalone tools – mostly for my own convenience, but they might be useful for you too.
There will be a brand new version of FuturixImager in 2012, but I’m not sure if it will be named FuturixImager still. Also initially it will be a research project for some new technologies I’m learning – so it will be quite different from the current one.
This spring I’m going to rework this website to cater for my (future) mobile/tablet apps.

I guess this is as good time as ever to publish some thoughts on the future of FuturixImager. I already did that in the previous incarnation of this website, but my thoughts were lost in the move and quite expanded since – so I will update on that.

FuturixImager 6.0.2

FuturixImager 6.0.2 is now available.
This is a bug-fix release.

Next weekend I will publish a new installer for FuturixImager 6.0.2 based on Windows Installer technology: I hoped to release it today but did not have enough time to test it very well, hence the delay.

FuturixImager 6.0.1 is now available for download.
This is mostly a bug-fix release, however there are many changes and improvements in raw camera formats plug-in.

Also, several months ago I managed to delete my list of requested features – so if you want something changed or added in Imager, please do post in comments of this post. Next version will be released in two weeks – so hurry up if you want something implemented in it
