You can take screenshots with Imager 5.9.4 but not with this beta. In any case, I'm afraid there is no keyboard shortcut for that - you have to select it from the menu (or add a toolbar button).

Wonderful program. Exactly what I was looking for.
I love how it has all the basics and none of that unneeded stuff.

You are correct – I haven’t touched that functionality for years!
But I’m happy to say that better printing (and scanning) will be available in one of the next betas.

Great work as always and kudos to you for your support. However FuturixImager still is years of light behind when it comes down to printing easiness. In order to change the printer used, you have to go through 3-4 menus and lots of clicking, instead of having it easily with just a click, as in any other image viewer out there. Please fix this as well and I’m sure that this viewer will become more popular.

FuturixImager is the best image viewer I’ve used, and I’ve used a lot!

I have only one question, is there a portable version? If not, please consider making one. A lot of people use their apps in portable format these days.

FuturixImager is already mirrored by several websites – so downloads don’t take that much of bandwidth. I don’t think this website ever hit the limits.

Alex, at least consider letting Donationcoder.com lighten your bandwidth load. You can still dual-host your app on this domain. And you’ll always be able to continue uninterrupted when the next crisis comes along. Besides, Donationcoder.com has over 30,000 members! Good luck.

Alex, even though I don’t use your software, I’d like to help you a little. When I try to follow the PayPal link, I get “https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&” which takes me to my account, but without the information I need. I tried the page in IE* and FF3.5+

Hey Alex, any chance different filetypes can get distinct icons? I think I’ve grown spoiled by Windows built in icons that differentiate between JPG, BMP, PNG, etc, and find it much easier to differentiate between files of different types that way.

Beta 1 does not support registering file format associations at all
This is because I’m currently rewriting this part (fxfreg.exe is indeed a new tool for file format registration in Windows 7 and Vista) and it will be available in Beta 2 (hopefully Sunday next week). Sorry about the confusion!

Thx for your response, but I don’t even have an fxformats.exe, only fximager and fxfreg (which sounds like file registering, but doesn’t do anything, even in admin mode).

On a side note, it would also be great to have an option to suppress scroll bars in fullscreen mode.

@RealZeratul: Just FYI, the assocations can be changed by running fxformats.exe as an administrator.
