    What was wrong with the old host?

    • Alex says:

      Nothing wrong with it, I’m still with the same hosting company – I just wanted to combine two accounts with the same host together (to save money, as I’m between jobs again! :-( ).

    Alex,
    I love your software for managing my massive .jpg folder.
    I just downloaded v 6.0, its great!
    However I noticed that in the image selection window, when browsing throught a photo file, the thumbnail preview of the file is no longer displayed.
    Is there a preference I can change to allow the thumbnail of the selected image to appear?

    • Alex says:

      This is because of limitations of Windows Vista and 7. I will try to find a workaround – but it is not in the current version.

    I thought this was down permanently, good to see it back ;)

    Hi Alex,

    How’s the portable version comming along? PortableApps.com now allows packaging freeware and commercial apps with their software too. You might want to check out the latest version of their popular format and installer: http://portableapps.com/news/2010-06-03_-_portableapps.com_format_and_installer_2.0

    Hello Alex,
    Thanks for sharing your software. I’m very happy with your viewer.
    Is there any metadata file like a playlist that could be used to view only a selection of files with FuturixImager?

    Kind regards,
    Iulian

    nice to have your site backup, i am working on much need updates to my own sites.
    be using FuturixImager as main viewer since ver. 6 release and i only have two issue.

    1. after zooming in and out of image arrow keys stop working, have to right click to open menu to select back or forward to open new image.

    2. can you add support to mouse scroll wheels that have left and right clicking so you can cycle through images .

    have you thought about creating a simple viewer for mobile device like cell phones and ipad. just got an android base phone and there are no good image viewer for it.

    Hello Alex,
    I just downloaded FuturixImager, and it is awesome! Very good job!
    I was looking for a good software for viewing images, and my choice would probably be IrfanView or XnView, though I saw they were not free for commercial use.
    So, I started to look everywhere for a good viewer, and FuturixImager came out.
    Reasons for its awesomeness:
    - Free for commercial use (companies can use it without paying);
    - Supports lots of file types;
    - Small, fast and easy to use;
    - Have many different interpolation methods, it can be also used as a resizer.

    Though I have one suggestion. Why don’t you put a (optional) tab that can open folders without needing to click on ‘File -> Open”, like Windows Explorer’s tab?
    I think that everyone would love it!

    Hello Alex,
    Futurix works fine. One little thing is not realy dislpayed in Version 6.0.
    If I take a Snapshot, it was not displaed in original form. It is possible, that a microsoft patch damaged the Snapshotfunktion? Two mons ago it works fine…

    Kind regards
    Frank
